Jared McKenzie, BA, BEd
Humanities Specialist
Jared holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge. Before moving to Calgary, he taught senior high English Language Arts in Westwind School Division. This is his second year at the Calgary Science School. Aside from humanities classes, Jared also teaches the Foods 6/7 Elective. Outside of the classroom, Jared enjoys literature, culinary arts, and being outside as much as possible.
Erin Couillard, BSc, BEd
Math/Science Specialist
Erin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Education degree from Queens University. She began her teaching career with Foothills School Division teaching grade 5, and moved to the Calgary Science School in 2008. Currently teaching grade 6 Math/Science, Erin has also taught grade 5 and 7 as well as the Environmental and Outdoor Education Elective. Erin is passionate about exposing students to the outdoors and helping them become contributing members of their community. She enjoys planting and caring for her community garden plot, practicing yoga, singing in a local choir and spending time with friends and family.
